Where the signal lives.
I work at the Department of Information Technologies, Prague University of Economics and Business. My core domain is Intelligence Studies in Business: competitive intelligence, technology intelligence and open-source intelligence (OSINT), including their use in due diligence. I also research how large language models and agentic systems apply across these fields. I've published in peer-reviewed journals since 2016, present regularly at international conferences, and work as part of research and project teams.

Where do you work academically?
I'm an Assistant Professor and Lecturer at the Department of Information Technologies, Prague University of Economics and Business, where my research focuses on Competitive Intelligence, weak signals, and the use of multi-agent systems for analyzing the external data environment. I previously also lectured at the Czech Technical University in Prague.
What are weak signals and wildcards?
Weak signals are early, incomplete indications of emerging change; wildcards are low-probability, high-impact events. My research is about capturing them systematically before they reach the mainstream, and building functional early-warning systems on top of them.
Can I read your publications?
Yes. Most work is available via DOI or open repositories; you'll find my profile on Google Scholar and ORCID. Key papers appeared in The Electronic Library, Online Information Review and Review of Managerial Science.
What are multi-agent systems for analyzing the external environment?
Systems where several specialized AI agents divide the work of the intelligence cycle: one collects data from patents and open sources, another verifies, a third synthesizes findings for a decision. My research asks how to design that division of labor so the output stays verifiable and defensible, so AI speeds up analysis without vouching for the truth in place of a human.
Do you collaborate with companies on research?
Yes. Typically as applied research on a company's real question: a joint project, contract research or a grant collaboration (TA CR, Horizon Europe). The company gets a methodologically grounded solution; the research gets real data. If that sounds interesting, write to me and we'll see whether your topic makes research sense.
