For over fifteen years I've stood on both sides of a line most people only know from one side: running real intelligence engagements (CI, TI, OSINT) in a business setting, and publishing the methods behind them in peer-reviewed journals and at international conferences.

That combination is the whole point. A method that wins a conference but can't survive a tight deadline is useless to you; a fast answer with no method behind it won't survive your board. I build at the intersection: academic precision in the fast-moving world of business.

I work at the Department of Information Technologies, Prague University of Economics and Business, specializing in competitive intelligence, technology foresight, open data and information management. I lead courses such as Competitive & Business Intelligence, Open Source Intelligence, Technology Intelligence and External Data & Information Sources. With the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics and the Faculty of International Relations I designed the master's specialization Intelligence Studies in Business, which prepares students to work with information in a complex global environment.

In practice I advise on competitive intelligence, due diligence, patent and trademark analytics, and advanced research across the surface and deep web. I run training and workshops on technology intelligence, OSINT, digital investigation and prompt engineering for R&D teams, technology companies, public institutions and startups. My talks bring the context of geopolitical events, OSINT and artificial intelligence together.

What companies most often gain: the intelligence cycle built directly into their decision-making, practical AI at the individual level, from prompt engineering through the right tools to agentic systems, and sources they never knew existed. The result is a marked saving of time in getting verified data and sharper critical thinking across the team.
