Evidence in time to decide.

I work with companies and individuals, sole traders included. We share one need: verified data and information in context, so we can turn it into knowledge and a competitive edge. It all stands on verified sources, AI-assisted synthesis, and methodology you can audit.

01Strategy teams

Competitive intelligence (CI)

Stand up or fix your intelligence cycle, set up weak-signal monitoring, and deliver directional foresight. Board-level briefs for the decision at hand, not dashboards.

02Innovation teams

Technology intelligence (TI)

Map the technology landscape from patents, scientific literature and open sources, find and validate new technologies and their feasibility, and track how the field moves over time.

Surveys · Monitoring · Workshops
03IP teams

Patent intelligence

Patent and non-patent literature searches tailored to your brief: prior art, novelty and freedom-to-operate (FTO). You get an answer to your question, not a database dump.

OSINT

Open-source intelligence against a specific question: investigations, vetting a counterparty or market, due diligence. Legal and ethical, with a verifiable chain of evidence.

AI & external data

AI's strength is speed and effective assistance with large data sets, but it still takes careful checking and verification of where the data came from. Work with data from outside your organization? I'll help you pin down what's relevant and design a sensible AI integration.

How engagements work

Engagements run short- or long-term; the scope follows the nature of the brief. In practice that means standing up a competitive intelligence function, auditing the intelligence cycle, verifying sources, validating output formats, and recurring training and advisory for your team. I work with mid-sized companies, SMEs and institutions.

Method principles

  • Direct-source primary research (not aggregator-only reports)
  • Hypothesis-led analysis, not bibliometric theater
  • Source triangulation and a verifiable chain of custody
  • Named-framework outputs that survive review

The method behind the work

Engagements rest on established frameworks, not intuition: the intelligence cycle and key intelligence topics (KIT/KIQ), WIPO's standards for patent landscapes and FTO, and documented evidence on where AI fails. See the Methodology page for detail.

Consulting FAQ

How much does a consultation cost?

Pricing depends on the scope and format, project brief, embedded sprint, or recurring review. After a short intro call I send a no-obligation quote with a clear scope, deadline and deliverable. Reach out via the contact form.

How long does an engagement take?

It depends on the brief, from short, single-question engagements to long-term collaboration. We agree the scope and schedule after an intro call.

Do you work with smaller firms and internationally?

Yes. I work with mid-cap corporates and SMEs, in Czechia and internationally. I deliver in Czech or English and routinely work across multilingual sources.

Is the AI in your outputs reliable?

I use AI as an accelerator, not a source of truth. Every claim is anchored to a verifiable source with a documented chain of evidence. Where AI predictably fails, I use traditional methods.

What does a typical deliverable look like?

A decision brief, not a data dump. Usually a one-page executive summary with a recommendation, backed by an analysis with a named methodology, sources and a confidence level for every claim. For monitoring engagements, regular alerts on agreed Key Intelligence Topics (KITs). I always tune the format to the person who will make the decision.

How do you handle confidential information?

I work under NDA as standard and treat confidentiality as table stakes in this discipline. I use exclusively legal and ethical methods on publicly available sources (in line with the SCIP code of ethics), so no legal or reputational risk lands on your side. Sensitive client material never goes into public AI services.

How are you different from the big consultancies?

You get a senior specialist, not a team of juniors with a slide template. I run the engagement personally from brief to hand-over, my methods are published in peer-reviewed journals, so you can audit them, and you pay for work on your question, not for brand overhead. The trade-off is obvious: capacity is limited. That's why we start with a short call where I'll tell you straight whether I can help.
